Kitchen Manager / Area Manager

We're looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, drive profitability, and set the standard for food quality, service, and guest experience.

You'll manage both front- and back-of-house teams, ensuring smooth operations from open to close. From motivating staff during bust shifts to monitoring costs and maintaining high standards, you'll lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing daily Front of House and Back of House operations
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Organizing, supervising, and supporting shifts
  • Hiring, training, and developing cooks, pizza makers, and service staff
  • Managing schedules, labor, and staffing needs
  • Ensuring food quality, consistency, and adherence to Russo's standards
  • Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and forecasting future needs
  • Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Controlling costs, minimizing waste, and protecting profitability
  • Reviewing financial performance and preparing weekly, monthly, and annual reports
  • Addressing customer feedback and resolving issues promptly
  • Representing and promoting the brand in the local community
  • Supporting marketing efforts, promotions, and local events


What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Hospitality Manager
  • Strong background in guest service leadership
  • Solid understanding of food & beverage operations and menu knowledge
  • Experience with restaurant management software, reporting, and analytics
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing costs and budgets
  • Ability to lead calmly and confidently in a high-volume environment
  • Hospitality management or culinary education is a plus
  • Required certifications: TABC and Food Handler
