‘Hi, my name is Jamie . I’m new to Russo’s as a franchisee and we’re opening a new store this fall in Katy, Morton Ranch 99. And we’re really excited to start. We chose Katy because Katy it’s been for a while now a big development center in the suburbs of Houston. There’s a lot of people from Venezuela, a lot of people from Mexico and Andalus. And they’re used to good food. So we wanted to provide the food me and my family liked as a customer for them and be a service for the community.
It all started around five or six years ago. We were coming from Mexico. We found Russo’s as a customer. We were looking for some good pizza around. By word of mouth, we found Russo’s close to Galleria. We started ordering to go to Russo’s. My kids loved the pesto pasta. Since then, every time we flew into Houston, we would dedicate one pizza night through the week to get some Russo’s pasta and pizza. So that’s when our love to Russo’s started.

We always thought of Russo’s as a pizza place. Actually, it’s a whole Italian restaurant. So there’s a whole menu behind the pizzas that you should try. It’s really good. The pastas, the salads, even desserts are really good. So that was the first thing I noticed going through different facilities. And then another thing, Anthony always says that fresh ingredients are a priority here. I could look at it first hand and that is true.

I still love the Italian sausage pizza and I get to know that it’s made from scratch in the restaurants. It’s not a sausage that you go and buy somewhere. So that’s one of the reasons that I love it. It’s fresh, you taste it and it’s nothing you’ve tasted before because it’s not a commercial recipe. I was really glad that we chose Russo’s as our business.’
