After introducing Hawaii to its authentic Italian flavors, enticing aromas and New York-style pizza, Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen announced a grand opening event July 6 to applaud the outstanding reception the restaurant has received in its first months in business.

"We're ready to fully celebrate the first of many Russo's Restaurants here on the island," said Robert Carlisle, owner and operator of Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen in Ewa Beach. "The community has been extremely supportive, and has enjoyed dining in our restaurant as much as we have taken pride in serving them."

The grand opening will take place on July 6 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the restaurant location, situated at 91-1121 Kehunui Drive #114 in Ewa Beach's Laulani Village.

The event will feature the James Campbell High School marching band, hula performers and giveaways. To add to this exciting mix, radio station 94.7 KUMU will be on location throughout the day. Of course, attendees will be able to enjoy the delicious, home-style cooking of Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen.

"Opening in Ewa Beach has been a tremendous success for Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen," said company CEO Anthony Russo, a formally-trained chef who opened his first Russo's New York Pizzeria in 1992. "We couldn't be happier about carrying on the The Russo's name has become synonymous with coal-fired authentic Italian meals.

Beyond the brand's specialty pizzas, menu items include fresh salads (Insalata), soups (Zuppe) and homemade pastas.
